While building my MOTM modular I did a lot of research in modules, technology and (vintage) synthesizer designs and came across the classics like Arp, Moog, EMS, Serge and Buchla.
Don Buchla’s creations stood out somehow in terms of design, functionality, form factor and the way he names his modules. Just look at the recent Buchla 200e series modular. It’s a work of art. So I thought it would be great to built a clone of a Buchla (like) modular. Although I like the 200e look a lot I eventually decided to go for the vintage 200 look as depicted below. My version will be a bit more compact however.
