There Is a Grasshoper On My Fridge

This morning my daughter woke me up all excited: “Daddy, Daddy, there is a grasshopper on the fridge!”.

After I managed to drag myself out of bed I went downstairs to check it out. And indeed, there was a little grasshopper on our fridge.  Yesterday was a warm day and we opened the doors to our garden when we came home so this little guy must have sneaked in somehow.

I went back upstairs to get my camera and made this picture using the Micro-Nikkor 55mm f2.8 macro lens. Settings: f4, 1/60sec, ISO400.

      Or use a flash so I could close down the iris more for a greater depth of field 😉

        Yes, indeed the lack of sharpness in the iris is a bummer..
