Today I finished the Resonant Lopass Gate I had lying, half finished, on my workbench for some time. It is a derivative by Thomas White of the famous Buchla 292c Lopass Gate.
It is a gate with selectable amplitude-dependent spectral characteristics. Knob settings and applied control voltages determine the levels and cutoff frequency.
It uses Vactrols which results in a very specific sound which I happen to like. I built this module in MOTM format. I will built a quad version for my Buchla 200 clone.
Too bad I didn’t buy any more PCB’s…
